On February 7, 2026, a wonderful Sunday School Teachers' Conference took place, organized by the Pacific Union Sabbath School Department. More than 50 people attended the conference. The department head, Zhanna Yanovska, and the entire committee extend their heartfelt thanks to Grace Avenue Bible Church for hosting the event; the church volunteers worked together harmoniously, actively helping and participating.
The conference brought together many dedicated servants: teachers, assistants, and all who labor in children's ministry. The atmosphere was truly warm, fraternal, and inspiring. The host church surrounded guests with genuine care and attention. Special thanks to Pastor Volodymyr Teterin, who opened the conference with prayer and a welcoming address. Additional appreciation goes to the youth and the youth worship team for their inspiring singing, which set a special tone for the day. We also thank everyone who lovingly served guests coffee and helped create a warm, friendly atmosphere for fellowship.
The first part of the conference was devoted to a timely topic: how to turn a dream into a concrete goal. Speaker Andriy Trybunalo helped participants assess themselves, determine priorities, formulate specific goals, and learn to set healthy boundaries on the path to achieving them. The insights gained will be useful in both ministry and everyday life.
The second part of the conference was practical. Yulia Buts shared techniques for making Sunday School lessons lively and engaging, how to hold children's attention and involve them in the learning process. Participants discussed that play is not merely entertainment but a key tool: it relieves tension, redirects attention, unites children into a team, and helps them better absorb biblical truths. Attendees not only listened but actively participated — playing, practicing "biblical hooks," and learning to present material creatively. Particularly memorable were vivid demonstrations using simple objects that clearly showed how to convey spiritual truths in an engaging way.
A highlight of the conference was the inspiring address by the union president, Oleksandr Pronin. He encouraged the teachers, emphasized the value of their work, and reminded everyone that ministry to children is an investment in the future of the Church.
Time flew by — the day was rich, productive, and uplifting. Everyone left with new ideas, practical tools for ministry, and renewed hearts eager to serve. Sincere thanks to the organizers and to all who poured their effort and heart into this conference. We look forward to future gatherings!
