On September 27, First Slavic Baptist Church hosted a conference for Sunday School teachers. This event attracted many of the teachers, pastors, those who are striving for spiritual growth, as well as those who disciple and shepherd the next generation.
Jennifer Dyachenko was the main speaker of the conference. She shared valuable insight into the use of technology, including artificial intelligence that can be a useful tool in preparations and teaching of Bible lessons. She also shared about how to take advantage of social media platforms in order to encourage children to study the Word of God.
Oleg Kovalenko gave practical advice in how to memorize Bible verses. He presented various methods and techniques that make it easier, more joyful, and more memorable for children.
Andrey Tribunalov emphasized the primary importance of the teacher’s spiritual growth. Taking Romans 8:28-39, he emphasized the importance of spiritual growth as the foundation for fruitful ministry to children. The speaker also reminded everyone in attendance not to be discouraged in their ministry because the Lord is always near to us every step of the way. The teachers were encouraged to remember that their efforts are not futile in the eyes of the Lord: the seeds of God’s Word that are sown into the hearts of children will one day lead to them coming to God, and dedicating their lives to Him.
In addition to the abundance of educational program, the conference participants were also happy to engage in interactive games, and have a good time of fellowship. They were also able to strengthen each other, and share their ministry experience. These types of meetings are needed not just to improve the teaching skills, but also to facilitate unity, and support among those who lovingly serve in faithfully bringing the Gospel to children.
